Jamie Leigh Franch, 54, Riley, KS passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018.

  On June 22, 1964, Jamie, was born to Elizabeth (Speake) Roudybush in West Covina, California.  Jamie graduated from Wamego High School in 1982.  She worked at the Kreem Kup in Wamego and then the Cowboy Café outside of Alma for 4 years.  She then worked as a housekeeper at the Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS for close to 20 years.

  Jamie loved taking care of animals and being around children.  She enjoyed horses when she was younger and helped with the Riley County 4-H Club where she worked with poultry and the rabbit barn.  She also enjoyed reading, cross-stitching and was a great artist.  Jamie was a member of the Riley County 4-H Club and the American Rabbit Breeders Association.

  She is survived by a daughter, Shalia Franch, Leonardville, KS; mother, Elizabeth Roudybush, Riley, KS; three sisters, Lisa Schurle (Darrell), Leonardville, KS, Dusty Medina (Frank) Dallas, TX, and Karla Pollard, Garland, TX; a brother, Curtis Roudybush (Deb); a step-sister, Corina Roudybush, Louisville, KS; a half-sister, Mary Maginness (Jared), Salina, KS; two aunts, Linda Hensley, Louisville, KS, and Bernie Burda, Laughlin, NV; two uncles, Jim Speake (Lucy), Hastings, NE, and Dick Speake, Riley, KS; and two grandchildren, Maria Franch and Logan Piper, Leonardville, KS.

  She is preceded in death by her step-father, Gary Roudybush; a sister, Veronica Parker; three uncles, Bill Speake, Charlie Roudybush, and Paul Hensley; and grandmother, Audrey Speake.

Memorial Service for Jamie will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Leonardville Hustlers 4-H Club, and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego, PO Box 48, 66547.
