Jonna Kaye Nichols, age 79, of St. George died September 13, 2023, at her home in St. George.
Jonna was born on September 6, 1944, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of John and Thelma Dawson.
Jonna was a Kansas native and graduated from East High School in Wichita, Kansas. After high school, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree from WSU as a registered nurse. Jonna worked as a registered nurse in the oncology department for twelve years at St. Francis Medical Center. Concluding her career in oncology, she dedicated her time to home health care. Jonna traveled to provide exceptional healthcare to her patients all over the State of Kansas for fifteen years.
She enjoyed boating and fishing, spending many hours on Milford Lake with her son Christopher and his wife Rebecca. Most of all she loved her family and her grandchildren Connor, and Jonathan. She had a special place in her heart for her cats, she was a lover of animals, but especially horses. Jonna was compassionate and caring, dedicated, and always spoke her mind.
She is survived by her son, Christopher (Rebecca) Nichols, and her grandsons, Connor Nichols, and Jonathan Nichols.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Thema, and one older sister.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home. Services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
