Juanel Robinson

June 6, 1936 — February 2, 2022

   Edah Juanel Robinson, 85 of Florence, Arizona, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Valley Vista Good Samaritan Society in Wamego, Kansas.

   Juanel was born on June 6, 1936, in Texarkana, Texas, the daughter of Melvin Clyde and Lemma Belle (Frazier) Kolb. She married Harold Robinson on …. They were later divorced.

   She graduated from Texarkana High School in 1954. She was employed by the Texas Commission for the Blind, retiring in 2001.

   Juanel was active with the Baptist Church in Florence, Arizona. She was passionate about volunteering to work for the political polls and enjoyed playing cards and Dominoes. She was also an accomplished piano player.

   She and her sister Neta shared a close bond. Juanel and Neta’s children grew up together often considering both houses as their home.

   Juanel is survived by her sons; Michael Robinson (Samantha DeVoe), and Kenneth (Michelle) Robinson, her grandchildren; Derek Blythe, Parker Blythe, Jacob Robinson, and Mason Robinson, and two great-grandchildren; Dawn Riley-Mae, and Kristina Jade, Robinson, and her nephews; Erby Burgess (Suzanne), Ralph Burgess (Laurie), and Mark Burgess (Cathy).

   She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Melvin Clyde Kolb Jr., and Neta Mae Burgess.

   Cremation arrangements are in the care of Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home.

   A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced at a later date.

   The family suggests memorial contributions in lieu of flowers, to the American Cancer Society, and those may be sent in care of Campanella & Stewart Funeral home in Wamego. Online condolences may be made at www.campanellastewart.com.
