Kathleen J. (Studer) Clark, 82, of Wamego, Kansas, passed away May 28, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society – Wamego.
Kathleen was born December 2, 1935 on her family farm southwest of Beloit, Kansas, the daughter of Albert E. and Mary (West) Studer. She attended a one room grade school in Mitchell County and graduated from Beloit High School in1953.
On February 7, 1954, Kathleen was united in marriage to Junior L. Clark at the Zion Lutheran Church of Beloit. He survives of the home. To this union were born five children. She was a loving mother, wife, and homemaker to her family. She enjoyed crafting, cooking family meals, and especially time with her family and grandkids. She also helped in preparing funeral meals at the First United Methodist Church where she was a member since moving to Wamego.
She is also survived by her five children: Jeanne Bowen (Ed) of Council Grove, KS, Jennifer Oskarson (Dan) of Wamego, KS, Jay Clark (Kim) of Wamego, KS, Jeff Clark (Cindy) of Wichita, KS, and Janelle Wolf (Bill) of Wamego, KS; 10 grandchildren: Adam Bowen (Abby), Amy Stubblefield (Aaron), Ann Ten Eyck (Mark), Emily Humm (Andrew), Will Clark, Nicole Clark, Tyler Clark, Hallie Kristalyn (Seth), Hayden Wolf, Elise Wolf; and 4 great-grandchildren: Bradley and Aubrey Bowen, Avery Stubblefield, and Cara Ten Eyck. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kendall and Richard Studer, and her sister Carol.
Funeral service for Mrs. Clark will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church of Wamego. Burial will follow in the Wamego City Cemetery. Kathleen will lie in-state beginning at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego, where family will greet friends during a visitation from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to the First United Methodist Church, or, Great Lakes Hospice and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
