Linda Glanzer, age 75, passed peacefully, surrounded by her family at Wellsprings of Westmoreland on April 1, 2025, following a long health battle.
She was born on November 5, 1949, in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Marvin and Margeurite (Bolz) Sharp.
She graduated from St. Xavier Catholic School in Junction City, Kansas, which cemented her strong values within her faith.
Linda married David Glanzer on January 17, 1969, in Topeka, Kansas. He survives of the home.
Linda's journey was marked by a deep commitment to her family and a passion for nurturing others. Linda dedicated much of her life to helping others within her community, owning a local daycare where she helped many neighborhood children find joy and confidence. Her caring nature extended further into her career as a medical receptionist, where she was beloved by both patients and staff alike, always bringing warmth and compassion to those she helped.
As a devoted mother and grandmother, Linda never missed an opportunity to attend her children's or grandchildren's activities. She took pride in being a constant source of encouragement, cheering them on through every milestone and achievement.
She is survived by her Husband, David Glanzer; Daughters, Jennifer (Kevin) Hill, of Westmoreland, Kansas, Jodie (John) Reves, of Blaine, Kansas, son; Andy (Chasity) Glanzer, of St. George, Kansas, brothers; Wayne (Sara) Sharp, of Red Oak, Texas, Tom (Lany) Sharp, of Oakley, Kansas, and Dennis (Janet) Sharp, of Holcomb, Kansas, her beloved grandchildren; Michael Parker, of San Fransico, California, Kelsey (Shane) Bridges, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Ashten Anderson, of Grapevine, Texas, Kyle Grimes, of St. George, Kansas, Kendall Grimes, of St. George, Kansas, Jackson Glanzer, of St. George, Kansas, Layne Grimes, of Blaine, Kansas, Kamrie Reves, of Blaine, Kansas; 5 step grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and friends who were like family.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Maggie Sharp, her brother-in-law, Danny Glanzer, and her nephew, Timothy Sharp.
A visitation will be held on April 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego, Kansas, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Manhattan, Kansas, on April 14, 2025, beginning at 10:30 AM, with burial following in the St. George City Cemetery. A Luncheon will take place after the burial at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Manhattan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Timothy Sharp Memorial Fund or Seven Dolors Catholic Church and can be left in the care of Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
