Margaret Rose Hysell, 87, Wamego, KS passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Valley Vista Good Samaritan Society in Wamego. On March 7, 1930 Margaret, was born to Joseph and Genevieve (Weltsch) Lenherr in Flush, KS. She graduated from Flush High School in 1947 and attended Benedictine College in Atchison, KS. She was united in marriage with Robert Lee Hysell on March 19, 1955 in Minturn, CO. Robert preceded her in death on September 12, 1986. Margaret worked for Elkins Motor Company for several years. She went on to work for Briggs Auto for a short time after the business changed hands. Margaret loved animals, especially cats. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and reading bible scriptures. She spent time gardening and doing seamstress work in her younger years. She also made trips to Europe visiting towns her ancestors lived in as she studied her family’s genealogy. She is survived by a brother, David Lenherr, Flush, KS; two sisters, Virginia Cochran, Burton, KS, and Kathleen Noll (Don), Manhattan, KS; and fifteen nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Giles, John, and Barney Lehnerr; a sister, Vivian Daywalt; two nieces and one nephew. Funeral service for Margaret will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Burial will follow in the Wamego City Cemetery. Margaret will lie in-state at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family has suggested memorials to the T.
