Margaret A. Sunnenberg

  Margaret A. Sunnenberg, 88, of Wamego, KS passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Valley Vista – Good Samaritan Society in Wamego.   On July 24, 1929, Margaret was born to Clifford and Hannah (Thomas) Raub in Frankfort, KS.  She was united in marriage with James “Jim” Sunnenberg on November 29, 1949 in Marysville, KS.  He preceded her in death on March 9, 2014.    She is survived by her four sons, James B. Sunnenberg (Donna), Sanger, TX, Leo Sunnenberg, St. George, KS, David Sunnenberg, Manhattan, KS, and Dennis Sunnenberg (Melinda), Manhattan, KS; three brothers, Richard Raub, Centrailia, KS, Don Raub (Ruth), Arkansas City, KS, and Larry Raub (Betty) Home City, KS; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.   She is also preceded in death by a sister, Margie Samsel, and four brothers, Clifford Raub, Jimmy Raub, Bill Raub and Marion Raub.   Funeral service for Margaret will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego.  Margaret will lie in-state Friday, September 22 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation to follow from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Graveside services will be held at a later date in the St. George Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to Jessalyn’s Long Journey Ahead, and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
