Marilyn was born July 19, 1938 in St. George, Kansas to Howard Louis & Mabele Lydia Cox Etienne. She was proud to be a cheerleader & captain of the St George High School Women’s Basketball team. Marilyn married John M Frame on September 26, 1955 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They lived on a farm outside of Leavenworth, KS, where she raised not only their 2 daughters, Jody & Kim, but also a brood of grandchildren. Marilyn was the absolute best grandma any kid could want! She took time to teach sewing, cooking & crafts. She played games, sat with them when they were sick, and pretty much ran a 24/7 kitchen for them & their friends. Grandma shared their joy, dried their tears and helped them become loving, successful adults. Marilyn worked as a computer tech for US Army at Ft. Leavenworth Kansas for 22 years, retiring July 31, 1988. She was one of the first women in that position and earned multiple awards. Following John’s death in 1998, Marilyn moved to Cottonwood, AZ, where they had talked of living. After 2 yrs, she moved to Westmoreland, Kansas to be closer to her family. She lived there until moving to Tucson, AZ in 2010. In Arizona, she loved being Grandma & Great-Grandma, her daily gossip sessions with son-in-law, Alan, and beating everyone's pants off in Yahtzee. Marilyn moved into Inn at the Fountains (Tucson, AZ) September 2016 and died at home June 25, 2017, with family holding her hands as she claimed her new healthy spirit body.
