Mary "Kathy" Kathleen Cote

Mary "Kathy" Kathleen Cote, 74, was called home in Akron, Ohio, on January 24, 2024. 

She was born to Francis and Maxine Flanary on November 12th, 1949.

She graduated from Clifton High in 1968, obtaining her nursing degree (LPN) from Beloit Technical College. Kathy loved being a nurse servicing the Wamego and surrounding areas for 50 years, her longest tenure being at Valley Vista Good Samaritan of Wamego. She was dedicated and steadfast to her craft, always putting the care of her patients first.  

She married Dennis Cote on December 7th, 1974, he survives of the home.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis, of the home; Daughters Christina Hindman and Angie; Sons Thurman and John; Grandchildren Logan, Jake, Liam, Eli, and Jack; Great-Grandchildren Leah and Bella; and Brother Tim Flanary of Wamego.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Brothers Patrick and Mike Flanary, and Grandchild Matthew.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Wamego. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kathy Cote Memorial Fund established for a nursing scholarship through Manhattan Area Technical College and can be left in the care of Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
