Nancy Jane Blankley

View Memorial Slideshow Nancy Jane Blankley, 70, Westmoreland, KS passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Westy Community Care Home in Westmoreland. On May 31, 1947, Nancy was born the daughter of Robert and Juanita (Umscheid) Chilcott, Sr. in Manhattan, KS. She attended Westmoreland schools and graduated from Westmoreland High School. She was united in marriage with Wayne Blankley at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Flush, KS on May 31, 1966. He survives of the home. Nancy worked for 31 years at the Westmoreland Care Home. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching their activities, playing bingo on Tuesdays with her friends, crocheting, her dog and watching the hummingbirds at her feeder. Nancy was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the St. Joseph Catholic Church Altar Society. She is also survived by four children: Jane Haefner (Ron), Columbus, NE, Lori Beagel, Galva, KS, Wayne Blankley, Jr. (Sara), Westmoreland, KS, and Wanda Silva, Westmoreland, KS; seven grandchildren: Alex, Aidan, Matthew, Danielle, Jessica, Dominic, and Kiersten; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert “Bub” Chilcott, Jr. Memorial service for Nancy will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Inurnment will follow at the Flush Cemetery. Visitation will be the night before from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
