Philip Lee Davis, 64, of Wamego, KS, passed away at his home on May 4, 2018 after an extended battle with cancer.
Phil was born on August 28, 1953 in Columbus, OH to Herbert, Sr. and Phyllis (Heston) Davis. The family moved to St. Marys, KS in 1957, where Phil attended schools, graduating in 1971.
Philip was united in marriage to Linda Ann Stewart (Whitt) on March 20, 1980. She preceded him in death in 1996. On January 2, 1998 Phil was fortunate enough to be united in marriage to Deborah J. Wray (Goss). She resides of the home.
After graduating high school, Phil worked in many different jobs, starting at the grocery store in St. Mary’s Kansas as a manager. He then spent several years at McCall Pattern in Manhattan. Most of his career was spent at K-State facilities as a general maintenance technician where he retired in 2016.
Phil was a family man and lover of the outdoors, enjoying his time fishing and hunting with his friends and family. He also enjoyed wood working and would create memorable works of art for family and friends to treasure. If he wasn’t fishing, hunting, or in his shop woodworking, you could find him in a bleacher or stands watching his grandchildren play sports or performing in concerts. His grandchildren were his world and he never missed an important event happening in their lives.
