Phyllis Annette Henderson

Phyllis Annette Henderson, 72, of Wamego, Kansas, died Monday, January 25, 2021, at the Wamego Health Center. She was a long-time resident of the community. Phyllis was born on May 7, 1948, in Hayward, California, the daughter of Willis and Anne Saltsgave Calvert. She attended local schools and graduated from High School in Hayward. Phyllis married Leland John Henderson on December 15, 1971, in Lisbon Falls, Maine. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1916. Phyllis was a homemaker but also taught pottery making classes in her home. She loved to raise flowers and enjoyed family camping trips. She and Leland loved to travel and pulled their camper numerous places in the Western United States. They also loved visits to Hawaii and going on cruises. Phyllis is survived by her sons, Aaron Henderson (Glenda Spain), Westmoreland, Dale Henderson (Nichole), Wamego, and Christopher Henderson (Stephanie), Altoona, Iowa; her grandchildren, Samantha Henderson, Jordy Kyle, Tarah Henderson, Brady Henderson, Bryson Henderson, Jason Henderson, Chase Henderson, Ashton Henderson, and Bailey Henderson; her great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Riley, and Patricia; and her brother, Vestial Calvert (Cathy) Reading, California.
