Ronald Lee Norton

  Ronald Lee Norton, 71, Wamego, KS passed away at his home Saturday, July 28, 2018.

  On February 13, 1947, Ron was born to Eston and Esther (Fortman) Norton in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  After high school, Ron enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and graduated from training at Paris Island, South Carolina in October of 1965.  He was honorably discharged in 1969.  After his service, Ron returned home and worked as an ironworker and in construction where he received many accommodations for his work.

  He is survived by two sons, Mike (Kristen), Palm Bay, FL, and Ronnie (Carole), Lost Creek, WV; two daughters, Michelle Siegrist (David), Boca Raton, FL, and Joni Beth Norton, Clarksburg, WV; four brothers, Richard, Gale, Eston and Gary; a sister, Brenda; and several grandchildren.

  He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry.

  Funeral Mass for Ron will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Wamego.  A rosary will be held before Mass at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 6^th at the Kansas Veteran’s Cemetery near Manhattan, KS.
