Stephen “Steve” Lawrence Brazzle, 60, Wamego, KS passed away Thursday, September 26th, 2019 at Select Specialty Care Hospital in Kansas City, KS.
On June 20th, 1959 Steve was born to Elmer and Phyllis (Jenkins) Brazzle in Westmorland, KS. Steve graduated from Wamego High School in 1977 and then served in the Marine Reserves until 1982. He was united in Marriage to Susan Wilson (Daniel) on May 20th, 1978 then divorced. He was then united in Marriage to Tammy Snyder on 9/16/1981 in Westmorland, KS. She survives of the home.
Steve loved fishing, watching football, and family events. Steve’s favorite sports teams were K-State Wildcats and the Kansas City Chiefs. He was well known for his sarcastic sense of humor.
His careers included working at Bayer Stone, then Baldersons (Catepiller) in Wamego, KS. He then went on to manage a Texaco station in Junction City, KS with his final employer being
Russel Stover’s in Abilene, KS.
He is survived by his wife Tammy Brazzle (Wamego, KS), daughter Anna Wells (Manhattan, KS) two sons: Chase Brazzle (Washington, KS) and Joseph Brazzle (Mariah Jackson) of Topeka, KS. Two granddaughters: Cheyenne Wells (Ogden, KS) Sierra Wells (Manhattan, KS) One great granddaughter Charlotte Olson. Three brothers: Mike (Lorita) Brazzle, Madison, KS, David (Cara) Brazzle, Wamego, KS, and Joe (Heather) Brazzle, Madison, KS. Eight sisters: Vickie Reed, Wamego, KS, Chris Brazzle, Wamego, KS, Patty (Tod) Salfrank, Wamego, KS, Jennifer Brazzle, Wamego, KS, Jackie (Shane) Ayscue, Henderson, NC, Beth Brazzle, Wamego, KS, Rachel Brazzle, Wamego, KS, and Helen (Chris) King, Wamego, KS and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Tucker and Cindy Harris; his parents, Phyllis and Elmer Brazzle and a nephew, John Paul Brazzle.
A memorial service for Steve will be held on Friday, October 4th, 2019 at 2pm at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions towards funeral expenses and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
