Terrill "Terry" E. Moore

September 1, 1950 — September 29, 2017

Terrill “Terry” E. Moore, 67, died September 29, 2017 at his home in rural St. George, KS.  He was born September 1, 1950 in Grand Island, NE to Glen and Roberta (Mullikin) Moore.   He graduated from Dodge City Senior High School in 1968 where he excelled in both football and baseball.  He was a member of the All-WCKL football team.   He is survived by his wife, Carol, of the home; mother, Roberta Moore, Dodge City; and brother, Larry (Cindy), Dodge City.   He is also survived by three children: daughter, Kinsey (Jason) Griffin, Dell Rapids, SD, son, Ian (Miranda), Manhattan, KS, and son, Dustin, Manhattan.  He leaves behind nine grandchildren – Hunter, Ella, Brianna, Reagan, Colter, and Isaac Griffin; Tyrus and Cy Moore and Logan Moore.   After 40 years of dedicated service at Steel and Pipe Supply in Manhattan, Terry retired and began to pursue his creative passions.  He was a jack of all trades and a master of many.  A proud Grandpa who enjoyed photography, blacksmithing, and woodworking.  Always looking forward to a conversation about a good book, Terry’s passion for literature often meant he was reading multiple books at the same time.  He, Carol and their dog, Kate, loved anything outdoors.  They also shared an interest in the Old West and enjoyed their many travels together.   He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Moore, grandparents, Marion and Lela Moore, Bob and Ethel Mullikin, and uncle, Joe Mullikin and aunt, Juanita Lazelle.   All who knew Terry will understand just how much he will be missed, but we take comfort in knowing that his influence will forever be present in his children and grandchildren.  There are not enough words to express how special he was.   As per Terry’s wishes, no formal services will be held.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Purple Power Animal Welfare Society (P.A.W.S.) in Terry’s name, and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
