Thomas Ryan Day

Thomas Ryan Day, 37, of Manhattan, formerly of St. George, Kansas, died Friday, June 10, 2022, in Topeka. He was a life-long resident of the area.

Thomas was born on April 14, 1985, in Manhattan, the son of Micheal and Dawn (Brockopp) Day. He attended local schools and graduated from Rock Creek High School in 2003. He then attended Cloud County Community College and Highland Community College.

Thomas worked as a laborer for the Construction & General Laborers Local Union 1290. He was trained in Asbestos abatement. Thomas had also worked at the Jeffrey Energy Center.

Thomas was always willing to help others and enjoyed remote controlled cars, boats, and drones. He particularly liked to have his yard and flower beds looking their best. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Wamego.

Thomas is survived by his father, Micheal Day (Ladonna Piper), St. George, Dawn Julian (Scott), Westmoreland; his aunts, Donna Edwards, Junction City, and Sue Brockopp, Duluth, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his brother Christopher Day in 2020.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego. Reverend Jim Price will be officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 9:00 am. A graveside committal will be held following the service at 12:30 pm, in the Alta Vista Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pawnee Crisis Stabilization Unit or Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, and those may be sent in care of the funeral home.
